Winter is on the way!

Snow is just around the corner and it’s time to think about putting your summer items away for the year. Items like lawnmowers, rakes, bicycles, and outside yard decorations. Instead of storing them in your garage and taking up important space, think about coming to see us for a storage unit. Storing them here would leave room for you to put your vehicle in the garage on those cold and snowy days. It would save on having to scrape the ice and snow off your windows plus your vehicle would warm up a lot quicker. We also have parking spaces and larger units available for storing your campers, RV, or boat.

Isn’t it fun to see all the holiday decorations–on a Halloween drive finding ghosts, witches, spiders, and jack-o-lanterns: a Thanksgiving drive seeing Pilgrims, turkeys and pumpkins; and the best is a Christmas drive spotting Santa, sleighs and reindeer, lighted trees, candles, and a manger scene.
After it is over, where do they put all those wonderful decorations for next year? Do they stick them in the basement, or attic, or maybe the garage? Many have found the best solution is to take them to a storage unit. A storage unit means the decorations are safely out of the way but so handy when needed for next year. Hello, my name is Jill Mundt. I am the new assistant at the 2nd Avenue and SE 14th Dino’s Storage locations in Des Moines, Iowa. I am happy to be your storage counselor and assist you during your transition. We have multiple unit options available from drive-up to indoor, climate control to non-climate control and various sizes at our convenient locations. We also sell locks, boxes, and packing supplies at both of our locations to help with your moving needs. At Dino’s Storage we take great pride in our customer service and we look forward to providing a positive experience for all of our tenants. We offer military, senior, and student discounts. All of our leases are month to month and we do offer discounts if you pay 6 or 12 months in advance. Both of our well maintained locations have 24/7 unit access as well as security cameras throughout the facilities. We also provide free use of flat carts to making loading and unloading a breeze. At Dino’s Storage we offer flexible payment options such as online and automatic payments. Our climate control units are true climate control with air, heat, and dehumidifiers. Our offices are open 5 days a week, but we would be happy to email, mail, or fax a lease if you are unable to rent your unit in person. Dino’s Storage is a Worthwhile Employer

I would like to take the time to write about something to plug the ownership of Dino’s Storage this month as opposed to trying to tell you why you should send all of your storage business my way! Yahoo or Google does not take the time to write articles about every admirable thing that every small business does, so I am going to tell you about the great things that Dino’s Storage ownership did this year for its employees. In a year when half of the nation is complaining about the Affordable Care Act, and how it will jeopardize their profits (and should even be appealed), and big companies saying they will no longer cover spouses as part of their benefit package the owner of Dino’s Storage, last year had an open enrollment, for ALL of it’s full time employees (over a year before it would have been required). They offered the employees 2 different plans, because all people have different needs, but both were top of the line coverage. As things ended up working out, the company could have waited another year before even making this option available, as small businesses received a year extension from their requirement! Instead, Dino’s Storage did a very noble thing…….they moved forward, as any leader would do……….made these benefits available, and now have a very grateful workforce. Every employee can do more positive work when he has fewer things to worry about outside of the workplace. So much for plugging Dino’s ownership………but if I was looking for a service (of any kind) it always helps me to make a business decision if I know the integrity of the people I am doing my business with.
