Self Storage for Businesses

Most people think that storage facilities are only used for individuals storing personal items. I hear this often when business owners call to ask about storage options, storage units for businesses big or small are a great way to save money and space. Prime example here at Cedardale; I have several businesses who store seasonal items, items needing archived, and especially now with the overflow of holiday items they do not have room for. Utilizing space in a business is important so remember that Self Storage for businesses is very common and a great way to help your business grow.

Winter is on the way!

Snow is just around the corner and it’s time to think about putting your summer items away for the year. Items like lawnmowers, rakes, bicycles, and outside yard decorations.  Instead of storing them in your garage and taking up important space, think about coming to see us for a storage unit. Storing them here would leave room for you to put your vehicle in the garage on those cold and snowy days. It would save on having to scrape the ice and snow off your windows plus your vehicle would warm up a lot quicker. We also have parking spaces and larger units available for storing your campers, RV, or boat.

So feel free to call Tammy or Jennie at Bellevue Dino’s, 402-293-4667 to set up a time to come in and look around the facility.

Those that pray together stay together!

Dino’s Storage owner, Dave Paladino has started something that will keep the company’s values and beliefs going strong. Every Wednesday at 6am at the office we are going to sit down and pray together. It will be about 15 minutes. Prayer requests are welcome and we will pray for each other.

Packing Materials

Remember Dino’s storage not only has storage units for your items but we have everything here for your packing as well. We stock a variety of different size boxes, everything from small boxes for books to large boxes for linens and towels. We carry several different specialty boxes, such as, wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes, flat boxes for pictures and flat screen TV’s, different types of dish packing boxes with the perfect dividers in them for plates and glasses. In addition to boxes we have mattress covers, furniture covers, bubble wrap and the tape you need to secure everything.

Winter Time Storage

packing supplies des moines  It’s hard to believe that the holiday season is upon us. Time to get your Thanksgiving and Christmas items out. Time for all the holiday shopping and family gatherings. Then when all is said and done, where are you going to put all the extra things that you may not need until Spring or Summer? Storage is a great option. If you have items like electronics, pictures, antiques, furniture, family heirlooms or other valuable items, you may want to consider climate controlled and humidity controlled storage. Dino’s is a great start. Dino’s in Elkhorn has easy access climate controlled storage. It’s cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Dino’s has a large line of supplies for sale. Locks, packing boxes, TV boxes, wardrobe boxes, glass pack and dish boxes, mattress covers, sofa covers, bubble wrap, peanuts, shrink wrap and other items.

It is important to pack your items correctly. Stack the unit properly with heavy items on the bottom. Place items that you may want access to toward the front of the unit.Place like items together. Place delicate items in an enclosed box or container. Label your boxes or containers. That can help save you time if you are looking for a certain item. If you are using a non-climate unit, it is always a good idea to use wood pallets to put your items on. Non-climate units are great for storing cars, boats, trailers, campers and other things that you may not need in the winter or may not want to leave them outside in the weather. Our location is at 20800 West Dodge Road in Elkhorn. Stop in and see what we have to offer.

Reasons for using winter storage

The days are now shorter, but still very nice weather to prepare for what could be a bitter winter. Whether it turns out that way or not, it is still very nice to be prepared for what may come our way.

One good thing to always do is to put your seasonal items away. Lawnmowers, rakes, gardening tools will all do better cleaned up and stored away from the elements in a nice climate controlled environment. Every spring we invest money to replace many of these items, while our diligent friends will tell us they get 10-12 years out of theirs.

Christmas presents I have always found to be a necessity to store away somewhere OTHER than in the house!

if you are a person who has decided to sell some belongings on Craigs List, it is much wiser to show the items to a stranger at a public place, other than your personal residence. Dino’s Storage leases are month to month, so if you have your ducks in a row, you can optimize the use of the storage unit you are using to get the best possible results.

Please write in and tell me suggestions that you may have.

Another Example How Dino’s In Des Moines Cares About It’s Community

It is no secret to most people that HUNGER is a real problem here in America. Here in Iowa we have a Child Food Insecurity Rate of 19.5% and an overall Poverty Rate of 11.6%. Dino’s in Des Moines on SE 14th has teamed up with The Food Bank of Iowa to help in this matter. The Food Bank of Iowa delivers food to 55 of the most desperate counties in Iowa. Last year they received 7,673,765 lbs. of food from donations! All though this is remarkable news, it still does not cover what is needed to feed everyone in need ALL year around. I have set up a bin in my facility to collect donations for the month of November and December, anyone can donate. However, I have set up a SPECIAL for the months of November and December for anyone signing a new lease with us here at Dino’s on SE 14th. We will take off the $10 application fee if you bring in 2 non-perishable items to donate to The Food Bank of Iowa. How great is that, you can help out Hungry Iowan’s and save yourself money too! Anyone can donate, you don’t have to sign a lease with us, BUT if you do you will receive the great discount on your application fee. So stop in and see me and let’s fill this bin to the top! Thank you from ALL of us here at Dino’s!

GRIT

If you are a western movie fan, the first thing you think of when you see the word grit is probably the movie “True Grit” with John Wayne as “Rooster” Cogburn. Others may think of the food, grits that comes out of the south. Grit is something else.

Grit is not a trait that requires immediate, positive feedback. Grit is not “I tried my best” and giving up. Grit is being able to stay determined and motivated over a long period of time despite failures and adversity. It is the stamina to “stay the course.” Grit is perseverance, motivation, ambition to overcome the challenges and obstacles. Our society needs a little more “grit” today, I pray we can find it.

“People are blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for circumstances they want, and, if they can’t find them, make them.” G.B. Shaw Mrs Warren’s Profession 1893
